Hedging

Tyrone Garden Company is capable of trimming any type of hedge, from small delicate Topiaries to large tall screen hedges.

Our team has many years of experience trimming hedges and plants on the Mornington Peninsula.

We understand how hedges grow in a coastal environment and the different challenges faced growing in that environment.

We have up to date modern and especially sharp equipment and also apart from the standard ladders traditionally used in hedge trimming, our own travel towers (EWP) to make our job safer and quicker.

Our equipment is not only up to date, we keep it well maintained and very importantly clean and disinfected.

One of the major spreaders of disease between plants is dirty equipment. This is one of the major problems with the spread of Cypress Canker, contractors not cleaning their equipment between jobs and spreading disease.

Our photo gallery will give you probably the best overview on what we can achieve with your hedge and the many varied hedges we work on. Plus it gives you a visual aspect on the high standard we can achieve.

Tree Work / Fine Pruning

There are many companies who can come in and cut down a tree or use a chainsaw to trim a limb.

When they are there do they take into consideration;

Where the best place is to prune a limb?

How to prune the limb properly?

What type of tree or plant and how will it react to pruning?

Do they look at the property as a whole and check for trees near vegetation too close to your power or phone line?

Check for trees hitting or rubbing against your house?

Prune and trim trees and plants in consideration of keeping a screen from neighbours properties and roads?

Try to isolate trees which are being damaged by Possums?

Can they give advice on how to care for your tree, plants and hedges and point out problems or diseases?

Finally, do they work to Australian Standards of Pruning Trees?

View Trims

Many properties on the Mornington Peninsula are rewarded with exceptional views.

From our unique Native Vegetation, to World Class Golf Courses, National Parks and the waters of Western Port Bay, Port Phillip Bay and the rugged waters of Bass Straight.

Nothing is better than to be able to look out to one of our rewarding vistas on the Mornington Peninsula.

To keep these views, in many cases, vegetation has to be trimmed and pruned.

At Tyrone Garden Company, we have many years of experience in perfecting trimming vegetation for views.

We understand how hard Trees and Shrubs can be cut so they won’t die and continue to regenerate.

We work with the natural shape of the Trees so they don’t look like they have been shaved flat.

When Trees are extremely large, instead of removing them we thin them out, so you can see through them, which often enhances the view.

We are very happy also, to negotiate with neighbours if your view is being impaired by their vegetation.

Gardening / Chipping & Mulching on site

Tyrone Garden Company can do one off garden renovations or ongoing fine pruning and gardening work.

After 40 years in the Horticultural area on the Mornington Peninsula, Stephen Watson has a wealth of knowledge regarding gardens and plants in the coastal environment.

We can give you advice on everything from plant selection, plant placement, fertilizing, pruning, plant identification, shaping, watering and mulching.

Our business also keeps up with all the current State Laws regarding Tree removal and protection and Australian Standards regarding trees and plants.

We can also draw on many highly skilled Associates who can give you advice and services regarding irrigation, planting, large tree removal, stump removal, Arborist reports and landscaping.

We are very flexible and can meet with you at a time that suits, including weekends and after hours.

We try to recycle all of the cut vegetation when working on your property.

We can use our Rayco Chipper to chip as much vegetation as possible, so it won’t end up in landfill.

You can either keep it or we will take it away.

We also offer on site chipping for green waste generated by the home owner, gardeners and general contractors at a competitive hourly rate.
